Senior Design Technology Lead

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $135,000 - $165,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Shape how the team works, stay sharp on industry trends, and improve tools and processes.
• Coach direct reports on goal setting and growth, guiding them with empathy.
• Build a team culture of collaboration between engineers and designers.
• Ensure team adherence to quality standards across workstreams.
• Write clean, maintainable code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Evaluate and deploy AI-assisted development tools.
• Lead frontend architecture decisions on client projects.
• Build rapid prototypes and explore hardware/software integrations.
• Champion design systems and maintain component libraries.
• Partner with sister development company to align on standards and timelines.
• Serve as technical thought partner to designers, strategists, and clients.
• Lead project planning across multiple engagements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in design technology, creative development, or related field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• A portfolio or work samples.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EDT timezone.
