Senior Director Payment Integrity Operations

The Sr. Director of Payment Policy Management (PPM) Operations oversees business operations within Cotiviti's Payment business unit, supporting sales, client engagement, and operational processes. The role involves strategic direction, team leadership, and ensuring high-quality service to clients while driving organizational growth.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $160,000–$190,000/yr
Responsibilities
- Define operational requirements for scalable, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
- Respond to Payment Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.
- Support client intake requests by understanding requirements and providing solutions and estimates.
- Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top talent.
- Optimize labor and operating expenses while increasing productivity and service quality.
- Collaborate with key partners for operational excellence.
- Lead and support operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop business cases, KPIs, and test plans for improvements.
- Communicate performance and initiatives to stakeholders.
- Enforce intellectual property protection.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, corporate, and client requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues, manage schedules and deadlines.
- Develop plans to anticipate client needs and improve operations.
- Foster a positive organizational culture.
- Support business leaders.
- Maintain effective client and team relationships.
- Manage projects and review performance.
- Provide reports and metrics.
- Build relationships with executive leadership.
- Complete responsibilities in the Performance Plan and other duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, healthcare or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or CPP.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations, consulting, or healthcare management.
- Experience in US healthcare health plan operations preferred.
- Implementation/transition experience preferred.
- Operational acumen, problem-solving, leadership skills.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and executives.
- Leadership in operational divisions, policy setting, and achieving objectives.
- Interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven record of operational excellence.
- Expertise in process optimization and technology.
- Experience with software development initiatives.
- Experience presenting to clients and leadership.
- Responding to client requests, audits, proposals.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
- Leadership in talent management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professional demeanor and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Experience in a matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel.
