Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Omada Health is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and expand its MCP ecosystem, connecting SaaS tools and internal systems to enable AI-driven automation and integration across the organization.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $142,600 - $178,300 in California, New York, Washington; $136,400 - $170,500 in Colorado; other states vary

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for department champions to understand workflows and identify AI automation opportunities.
• Drive AI adoption by deploying useful tool bundles and ensuring integrations fit team workflows.
• Gather feedback and iterate on AI tools and integrations.
• Build documentation and enablement materials for non-technical stakeholders.
• Represent end-user needs in integration decisions.
• Integrate SaaS and internal applications with Omada's MCP ecosystem, build and configure MCP servers, handle authentication patterns.
• Write skills that expose actions and data to AI agents.
• Compose skills and tools into role-appropriate bundles.
• Deploy tool bundles to ABAC groups, manage access.
• Partner with Senior IT Engineers on integrations.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Mentor IT team members.
• Build MCP servers and skills following least-privilege principles.
• Contribute to standards and policies for MCP onboarding and governance.
• Ensure data handling complies with health data environment.
• Maintain audit-friendly configurations.
• Collaborate with Security on risk assessments.
• Maintain knowledge of MCP configuration and capabilities.
• Identify gaps and propose a roadmap for new MCP servers and skills.
• Contribute to reusable patterns and documentation.
• Stay current on MCP ecosystem and related tooling.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building with MCP, configuring or authoring MCP servers, connecting tools, writing skills.
• Strong SaaS API integration experience: REST, webhooks, OAuth.
• Understanding of ABAC, access control, and governance principles for AI/LLM deployments.
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving tool adoption and enablement.
• Ability to write and debug integration code (Python or similar).
• 7+ years of experience in systems integration, developer enablement, or related roles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively and abstractly with stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
