Senior Manager - Collections & Recovery

The role involves reviewing and evaluating delinquent, high risk, or written-off accounts for collections, providing sales and service to customers, advising on payment strategies, and supporting various collections-related activities.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $102,000.00 - $190,000.00

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate delinquent, high risk, or written-off accounts for collections opportunities.
• Provide collections-related sales and service to customers or prospects.
• Advise customers on payment strategies and products.
• Support coaching, training, quality audits, vendor management, and credit collection disputes.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Monitor account performance and client relationships.
• Address escalated customer requests and transactions.
• Execute loss mitigation processes for non-performing and high risk accounts.
• Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations.
• Develop action plans to maximize recovery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
• Network with industry contacts for insights.
• Leverage sales and referral opportunities.
• Analyze data to determine collection probability.
• Lead change management and operational programs.
• Design and implement core business processes.
• Maintain knowledge of collections strategies and trends.
• Operate as a resource to senior leaders.
• Apply risk management principles.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of credit qualifications and laws related to collections.
• Expertise in BMO products and services.
• In-depth knowledge of marketplace trends and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity.
• Data-driven decision-making skills.
