Senior People Operations Administrator (Fixed Term - Maternity Coverage)

Dimagi is seeking a highly organised, detail-driven Senior People Operations Administrator for a fixed-term remote contract of approximately 9 months, supporting global teams across South Africa, India, the Americas, and other regions during a maternity cover period.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for People Operations queries, managing and resolving employee tickets and requests via Jira across all regions.
- Own the management of People Operations Jira workflows, including onboarding, transitions, offboarding, and employee lifecycle requests.
- Maintain and update HR systems and records for data accuracy and consistency.
- Provide administrative support to regional People Operations Leads on regional tasks, including compliance reporting, recruiting coordination, and employee support.
- Lead and coordinate onboarding training for new hires.
- Coordinate with PEO vendor for HR, payroll, and benefits services for PEO-hired employees.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support employees throughout their lifecycle.
- Support payroll processing for employees in South Africa and India, review invoices and reports, coordinate wire payroll, and prepare payslips.
- Ensure statutory reporting and employee tax forms are issued accurately and on time.
- Assist with benefits research, selection, and open enrollment.
- Coordinate vendor invoicing, review and submit invoices, support budgeting and cash flow projections, process expenses, and manage payments.
- Lead small global projects and assist on projects related to People Operations.
- Require 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Administration.
- Must be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn new systems (e.g., Jira, Culture Amp).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, set expectations, and escalate risks.
- Proactive problem-solver with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Bonus: Experience in impact-focused organisations, payroll processing, and working on global teams.
