Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist

The Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist role involves telephonic assessment and management of patients' medication therapy, focusing on serious and rare health conditions, within a remote work environment. The position emphasizes clinical expertise, care plan development, and patient education.

Location: Remote (US: Ohio, Florida, Texas, Arizona)

Salary: $115,200 - $158,400 per year

Responsibilities

• Inbound/Outbound calls to members.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy.
• Check for drug-drug interactions.
• Evaluate appropriateness of disease state, dosage, directions and therapy.
• Utilize electronic resources and guidelines to assist in professional decision making.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD).
• Active Pharmacist license from Florida, Texas, Ohio or Arizona without restrictions or disciplinary action.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist in a high-volume retail, hospital or mail order pharmacy environment.
• Participate in Federal prescription programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and OneNote.
• Knowledge navigating multiple systems, platforms and troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties in a remote environment.

Additional Information

• Workstyle: Remote.
• Location: Must reside in Ohio, Florida, Texas or Arizona.
• Training: 40-hour week Eastern Time, 2-4 weeks, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Eastern.
• Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
• Shift structure includes standard, late, rotating Friday and Saturday shifts, with potential overtime and holiday rotation.
• Work from home requires minimum internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
• Occasional travel to offices for training or meetings may be required.
