Site Reliability Engineer

This role involves creation, automation, monitoring, and management of test environments within RBC Caribbean or Canada, focusing on Site Reliability Engineering and Cloud-First environments.

Location: Port Of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions for test environment management.
• Implement observability tools like Dynatrace & Splunk.
• Reduce vulnerabilities across test environments.
• Manage demand and resolve environment contention.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and QE teams for automation.
• Coordinate creation of new test environments.
• Automate application, data, and infrastructure processes.
• Report on environment usage, availability, and status.

Requirements

• Experience in Test Environment Management for medium to complex environments.
• Proficient with SCM and DevOps tools: Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, GitHub Actions, Ansible.
• Skilled in observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, PagerDuty.
• Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence.
• Knowledge of database technologies.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, OpenShift infrastructure.
• Understanding of IT standards, methodologies, CMM, and audit requirements.
• Familiarity with middleware technologies: Access DB, MQSeries, WebSphere, WXF, XML, .NET.
