Responsibilities

Programming in a Windows and a Unix environment
Make changes to Banner CIS product (version 3.1+), add-on applications, and interface programming in batch and online systems
Estimate work effort and be accountable for deliverables and deadlines
Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase efficiency
Follow and improve software delivery lifecycles, standards, and frameworks
Develop new products and client-requested modifications and enhancements
Participate in peer reviews of requirements and design
Clarify business requirements with analysts and end users; create design specifications
Adapt to customer satisfaction demands
Provide 24x7 Tier 3 production application support

Requirements

At least 5 years experience as a Software Developer
Familiarity with UNIX environments (AIX is a plus) and utilities such as vi or emacs, awk, diff, find, grep, sed, tar
Experience with UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh)
Pro*C or C/C++ development experience
Pro*COBOL or COBOL syntax understanding
5+ years of Oracle development experience
Developing and maintaining PL/SQL with complex queries and file I/O
Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports (plus)
Oracle IDEs: SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, T.O.A.D.
Understanding of business processes and technology application
Strong English documentation skills
Problem-solving, analysis, troubleshooting skills
Capacity for learning
Ability to follow procedures and make decisions with critical reasoning
Prioritization and multitasking skills
