Software Engineer, Full Stack

Figma is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build products and platforms that empower millions of users worldwide, working across the stack to design features, improve workflows, and scale infrastructure. The role involves tackling complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the future of design and collaboration.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $153,000—$376,000 USD

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship high-quality features across the stack, from front-end experiences to scalable back-end systems
• Contribute to new product development and improvements to existing products, balancing user experience with performance and architecture quality
• Own projects end-to-end — ideation, technical design, implementation, testing, launch, and iteration
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, and Data teams to shape product direction and strategy
• Operate, monitor, and improve the systems built, focusing on reliability, security, and scalability
• Mentor teammates, contribute to team culture, and share knowledge through code reviews, design critiques, and pairing

Requirements

• Proven experience in shipping and maintaining full-stack applications in production
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/TypeScript) and back-end technologies (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, C++, PostgreSQL)
• A product mindset, with the ability to translate user needs into scalable technical solutions
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working effectively across cross-functional teams
• Passion for engineering craft and building polished, maintainable, and scalable systems
