Software Engineer II

Akamai is seeking a Software Engineer to develop open-source tools, contribute to Akamai Terraform Provider and CLI projects, and collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality software solutions focused on automation and customer configuration of Akamai products.

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• Developing open-source tools available on https://github.com/akamai utilized by customers
• Implementing Akamai Terraform Provider and Akamai CLI projects
• Creating new features, enhancing existing features, and optimizing functionality
• Contributing to technical decisions, design, and coding
• Handling changes to tools to align with long-term strategy
• Collaborating with QA teams to create regression tests

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go or Java
• Interest in learning new programming languages
• Basic understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as a Code
• Experience with Docker or similar container technologies
• Experience working in a Remote Agile Team during SDLC
• Detail-oriented with good communication skills
