Staff Software Engineer, Product

LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, expanding into all home services across three brands. The company is building a shared platform with a focus on impactful, owner-driven engineering.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: USD $80,000–$100,000 annual base

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of initiatives from problem framing to post-launch review.
• Shape technical approach including architecture, data models, and rollout plans.
• Ensure implementation quality with prompts, guardrails, tests, and reviews.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and engineering peers.
• Own initiative outcomes and present results post-launch.

Requirements

• Deep experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to make architectural and technical decisions at a lead level.
• Outcome-driven with a focus on metrics and impact.
• Strong collaboration skills with product and engineering teams.
• Decisive, well-documented decision-making and technical leadership.
• Ability to leave reusable artifacts that enhance team productivity.
• Customer- and pro-focused mindset.
