System Administrator (USA Based) - N.A. Service Delivery Group

A System Administrator responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting systems for driver identification and information solutions for US customers, primarily in the North American Service Delivery group.

Location: Contiguous USA (VA, NC, SC, NY, WI preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and virtualize server hardware.
  • Install/configure operating systems, software, network settings.
  • Write deployment scripts and manifests to deploy hardware and platforms consistently.
  • Develop and implement new solutions based on new customer requirements.
  • Pro-actively monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services.
  • Tune-up OS and deploy software updates and patches and modify deployment scripts and manifests to ensure configuration complies with security requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to system outages and perform necessary repairs.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support and training to users.
  • Implement and maintain backup solutions, including RDBMS replication, recovery and system failover.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network security and manage VPNs.
  • Monitor and enforce security policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
  • Work with other IT staff and departments to support projects and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
  • Legally eligible to work in USA
  • Able to work outside of standard business hours as required
  • Able to travel approximately 2-4 weeks/year on average
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Virtualization, Basic IT Security principles and protocols, ITIL processes, IT auditing process (asset)
  • 5+ years of system administration experience
