System Analyst

The role is for a System Analyst at xpate, a fintech company building modern payment infrastructure for global businesses. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience in fintech and payment systems, and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and improve acquiring platform, banking rails, and payment infrastructure.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into system specifications.
• Participate in integration of new payment providers, banking partners, and external services.
• Define workflows, data flows, API requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on solutions for technical challenges and future goals.
• Review technical implementation details including API contracts, data models, logs, and code logic.
• Contribute to scalability, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain high-quality documentation including specifications, diagrams, and notes.
• Identify automation, process optimization, and platform improvement opportunities.
• Support delivery by clarifying requirements and validating solutions.
• Contribute to product roadmap in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Solution Analyst, preferably in fintech, payments, banking, or financial systems.
• Experience documenting business processes, system integrations, APIs, workflows, and solution logic.
• Understanding of payment processing, card acquiring, banking integrations, or financial infrastructure.
• Experience working with software engineers in product teams.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud architectures (DynamoDB, Lambda, Aurora, SQS, EventBridge).
• Ability to analyze API behavior, data flows, and technical details.
• Basic code review skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, BPMN, UML, diagrams.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• English level B2+.
• Ownership mindset, proactive, motivated.
• Experience with AI tools for analysis and documentation.
