Salary: $100k–$120k

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax returns, overseeing the preparation of complex individual and business filings to ensure accuracy and compliance, while leveraging technology to drive efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and support team members by identifying training needs, providing hands-on guidance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures that optimize Uplinq’s technological resources to improve efficiency and manage high volumes of work.
Manage budgets, team hours, and resource allocation to deliver projects effectively within financial and time constraints.
Demonstrate flexibility and commitment by working extended hours during peak tax seasons to meet deadlines and support the team under pressure.
Establish and enforce rigorous quality control protocols to maintain the highest standards in tax preparation and compliance, driving continuous process and efficiency improvements.
Train and mentor junior staff members, enhancing technical expertise and professional growth in tax-related matters

Requirements

Active EA or CPA certification
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, math, or economics (Master’s preferred)
10+ years of experience in tax operations or public accounting, including 3+ years in a managerial role
Expertise in corporate tax laws with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
Significant experience with QuickBooks Online and CCH Access tax software
Demonstrated leadership in managing, training, and mentoring high-performing teams
Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and technologies
