Technical Advisor III– Emergency Program Response (EPR) Generalist

Contribute to strategy development and provide technical leadership in Emergency Response and Recovery for CRS, supporting high-quality humanitarian programs globally and regionally.

Location: United States

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, advocate for, and ensure implementation of agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices in Emergency Response and Recovery.
  • Provide technical solutions for regional and/or country program teams for strategic planning, program design, and risk management.
  • Take on acting emergency leadership roles and support the setup and management of emergency field offices and teams.
  • Contribute to agency-wide risk management efforts through risk assessments and mitigation guidance.
  • Support knowledge management and learning by collecting lessons learned and best practices in ERR and risk assessment activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing curricula, tools, and products for Emergency Response and Recovery.
  • Strong understanding of technical principles in ERR and related disciplines.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking skills.

Additional Information

  • Position duration: Tentative July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027.
  • Requires travel up to 50%.
  • Supervisory responsibilities included.
