Technical Implementation Analyst, Carrier Integrations

Pathpoint is a full-service wholesaler modernizing the E&S insurance process through technology and expertise. The company is seeking a Technical Implementation Analyst to work on carrier integrations, translating underwriting guidelines and APIs into requirements, and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities
- Translate carrier underwriting guidelines and API documentation into clear engineering requirements.
- Evaluate carrier APIs against Pathpoint's platform: identify gaps, edge cases, and required field mappings before build begins.
- Document, prioritize, and track requirements across carrier underwriting guidelines, engineering tickets, and internal knowledge bases.
- Build and execute QA test plans against carrier integrations, partnering with engineering to confirm builds match specifications.
- Maintain ongoing carrier integration health by surfacing API issues, ingesting carrier guideline changes, and turning them into actionable updates.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, and Operations to confirm carrier business logic is reflected accurately in our agent-facing experience and support internal workflows.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience as a technical analyst, implementation analyst, or business systems analyst, ideally in insurance, financial services, or technology.
- Detail-oriented and rigorous when documenting requirements, with a track record of producing specs engineers can build from.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman and Bruno; comfortable reading API documentation and validating responses.
- Comfortable aggregating and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources.
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate research, requirements writing, and API analysis. Hungry to keep getting better at it.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; effective at prioritizing and following through across a wide variety of tasks.
- Self-starter who assimilates new tasks, tools, and processes quickly.
- Commercial insurance experience (e.g. general liability, property, etc) preferred.
