Technical Product Owner

The Technical Product Owner at Associated Bank is responsible for driving the technical direction of digital products, aligning business needs with engineering execution, and influencing product strategy while shaping scalable, high-quality solutions.

Location: Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri (region-specific)

Salary: $100,590.00 - $172,440.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to recommend technology solutions that align with business goals
• Drive technical direction by translating product needs into clear architecture and design requirements
• Lead collaboration between engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Own and prioritize technical backlogs, balancing functional enhancements and technical improvements
• Define and document non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and security
• Guide sprint planning by clarifying technical scope and removing blockers for development teams
• Support product roadmaps by researching, proposing, and implementing forward-looking solutions
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and performance frameworks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience in information technology, including software development and product ownership
• 3+ years of experience in a technology leadership or team guidance role
