Underwriter Motor

The Underwriter - Motor role involves managing the risk exposure of the company in the insurance sector, ensuring profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

Location: Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of the risk exposure of the company from its core business.
• Ensure the company yields a profit while achieving the targeted gross income and market share.
• Manage relationships with third party producers.
• Achieve customer excellence.

Requirements

• Three (3) - Five (5) years’ experience working in the Insurance industry, with a minimum 2 years underwriting experience.
• Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE ‘O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics & English Language.
• Minimum of three (3) CAPE or A Level passes.
• Completed Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate Level OR equivalent qualification (will be an asset).
• Completed or pursuing BSc. or higher qualification in Insurance & Risk Management, Business Management, or any other related course of study (will be an asset).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs - Word & Excel.
• Any equivalent combination of education & experience.
