Vice President, Accounting - United States

The company is high-growth, SaaS-based, and preparing for IPO, with a focus on compliance, operational excellence, and international scaling.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $225,000 - $275,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale the multi-regional Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Payroll, and Billing/Collections teams.
• Help design and execute the accounting roadmap for IPO readiness.
• Champion enterprise risk management, including insurance, compliance, and banking relationships.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and tax authorities.
• Support presentation to the Audit Committee on technical accounting, risk, and internal controls.
• Drive IPO readiness initiatives including SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit preparedness.
• Establish and refine accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, focusing on SaaS revenue recognition.
• Manage global tax structure, transfer pricing, intercompany agreements, and VAT/GST compliance.
• Own revenue accounting processes, including ASC 606, contract review, and revenue arrangements.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure strong billing, collections, and cash application processes.
• Manage global cash positioning, bank accounts, and investment policies.
• Lead implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, RevOps, and FP&A teams.
• Support M&A activities including accounting integration.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in high-growth SaaS or tech companies.
• Experience at a public company or IPO preparation and execution.
• Deep expertise in SaaS revenue accounting.
• Experience leading accounting in multi-currency, international legal entities, and M&A.
• Experience leading SOX implementation and operating in a public-company environment.
