Women's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Massachusetts

The Psychiatric Consultant (PMHNP) supports women's mental health care, focusing on perinatal and perimenopause populations, through telehealth in Massachusetts. The role involves medication management, clinical evaluations, and collaboration with OB/GYN teams.

Location: Massachusetts

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits via telehealth for perinatal and peri/menopause patients.
• Provide treatment recommendations for patients needing more intensive or specialized care.
• Complete pre-conception medication consultation and psycho-education.
• Perform asynchronous caseload consultations reviewing clinical information and medical records.
• Complete documentation within 24 hours of patient visits.
• Work with care managers to oversee patient caseload and use FamilyWell’s registry for tracking.
• Provide educational support to the care team on behavioral health conditions.
• Be available for ad hoc consultations to OB providers for complex cases.

Requirements

• Licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in MA.
• Able to practice independently without supervision in MA.
• Hold an active DEA license in MA.
• Hold an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification issued by the ANCC.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude.
• Ability to synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate clinical recommendations.
• Passionate about improving perinatal and/or perimenopause mental healthcare, especially in vulnerable populations.
• Experience or interest in perinatal or perimenopause mental health and collaborative care.

Benefits

• Part-time, 5-20 hours per week as a 1099 contractor.
• Compensation: $125 for 60-minute psychiatric evaluation, $50 for 25-minute follow-up.
