Workup & Settlement Attorney

Keller Postman seeks a diligent, detail-oriented, and collaborative Workup and Settlement Attorney to work closely with the case management team on large mass tort cases, managing case progression, preparing cases for settlement, guiding clients, and participating in rotation duties.

Location: Remote

Salary: $100,000–$120,000/yr plus bonuses and benefits

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with case management team to work up settlement-eligible clients, evaluating decision points such as reviewing notes, medical records, and related documentation.
• Manage client interactions during the offer process for settlement offers, ensuring clear communication and support.
• Coordinate with Case Managers, legal assistants, and other team members to execute casework efficiently.
• Serve as the on-call attorney as part of the elevation rotation once every 1-2 weeks.
• Interact with clients, outside counsel, experts, and vendors to support case resolution.
• Contribute to refining the firm’s settlement processes for efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

• Openness to learn and perform unconventional, heterogeneous legal work involving interaction with clients and non-lawyer colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

• Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
