Accountant

This role involves managing day-to-day finance operations, including accounts receivable and payable, month-end closing, reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and strategy. It is suitable for candidates with accounting experience, CPA qualification, and familiarity with AU or NZ financial systems.

Location: Remote (AU/NZ)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and post month-end journals, financial statements, and reconciliations.
• Support external auditors with year-end financial statements and tax returns.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes.
• Support the Company Accountant / Group Financial Controller with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth finance operations.
• Provide general office and administrative support.

Requirements

• 5 years of total accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA qualification (required).
• Experience with end-to-end AP/AR processes.
• Experience with accounting systems.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
• Experience with AU or NZ accounting standards (required), US experience (preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting operations, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Pragmatic and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
