Business Development Manager – Robotics & Mobility Systems

QNX is a provider of safety and security operating systems, middleware, and development tools, with a focus on reducing hardware dependency and increasing efficiency in embedded systems across various industries including automotive, medical, industrial, and aerospace.

Location: South Korea

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for key robotics segments: Mobility, Manufacturing/Industrial, and Delivery & Logistics robots.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts within major Korean robotics OEMs.
• Lead technical-commercial negotiations from initial engagement through to final contract closure.
• Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with customer executives, engineering leaders, and procurement teams.
• Act as a technical advisor on system architecture, focusing on RTOS, safety-critical systems, robotics platforms, and ROS.
• Provide pre-sales technical consulting, including requirement analysis, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept support.
• Gather market intelligence on customer roadmaps and industry trends to influence internal product strategy.

Requirements

• Proven industry experience in robotics, embedded systems, or a related technology field.
• Hands-on technical background as an OS/Software engineer, FAE, or system architect; QNX knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Documented experience in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, technical sales, FAE, or business development.
• Strong technical understanding of robotics architectures (ROS), real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded software platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business value for both engineers and executives.
• Ability to conduct business (written and verbal) in Korean is required as are English language skills.

Additional Information

• This role involves working closely with leading Korean robotics companies including Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Division, Doosan Robotics, Hanwha Robotics, and Rainbow Robotics.
• The position is full-time, with scheduled weekly hours of 40.
