Coding & Compliance Auditor

Responsible for performing E/M audits, summarizing the results, communicating the outcomes, and completing follow-up or educational needs. Supports coding, audits, and government requests in a healthcare setting.

Location: Remote

Salary: $20.78 - $36.53

Responsibilities

• Perform E/M audits and summarize results.
• Communicate audit outcomes and follow-up actions.
• Review and complete email and ticket requests.
• Update and review assigned lists accurately and timely.
• Contribute to government audits.
• Provide coding support for physicians and Claims Resolution Specialists.
• Attend seminars and training sessions, report changes or concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Work overtime when required with notice.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Maintain company equipment.
• Contribute to review and completion of tickets, emails, and lists.
• Update training manuals, SOPs, and PowerPoints.
• Provide training to physicians and extenders.
• Use programs like Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint proficiently.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years coding experience with E/M in a medical office preferred.
• CPC and/or CCS certification (or other AHIMA/AAPC certifications).
