Customer Technical Support Representative - Part Time

The zyBooks Customer Technical Support Representative role involves assisting students and instructors via email with troubleshooting and usage questions related to zyBooks content and application. It is a part-time position aimed at college students pursuing degrees in CS, CE, IT, Engineering, or Math.

Location: Remote, VA, USA

Salary: $16–$23 USD

Responsibilities

• Reviewing student/instructor feedback on zyBooks content and determining the validity of said feedback.
• Assisting users with managing accounts, including merging accounts, transferring subscriptions, resetting passwords.
• Escalating issues to internal teams and managing their progress while sharing updates with customers.
• Assisting the zyBooks Bookstore and Creation team with tasks such as generating zyBooks and access keys.
• Providing feedback on internal processes and suggesting improvements.
• Tracking common trends and sharing findings with the team.

Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in CS/CE/IT/Engr/Math at a 4-year or 2-year college/university.
• Proficiency in fundamentals taught in an intro level class for the degree, e.g., basic knowledge of loops/branches/functions in C, C++, Python, or Java.
