The Director, Content at Learfield Studios leads a team of Supervising Producers across multiple schools, developing creative and production workflows to enhance content offerings and engagement.
Location: United States
Salary: $115,000–$145,000/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage 5-7 Supervising Producers, advising on content strategy, production workflow and creative output
- Assist in content ideation and pre-production creative development, provide notes in post-production
- Provide feedback to ensure growth and development of content teams
- Act as point of contact for Athletics, Property GMs, and content teams at schools
- Collaborate with departments to develop new packages, solutions, and best practices
- Partner with VP, Content to grow and optimize content strategy and workflows
- Pitch to internal and external partners and serve as point of contact
- Ensure high quality content within budget and schedule
- Advise on content strategy to increase fan engagement and generate revenue
- Manage notes process for development, production, and post-production
- Work with departments to ensure deliverables
- Become an expert on creative best practices across platforms
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Align budgets and schedules with creative and audience expectations
- Optimize distribution and promotion of content
Requirements
- 8+ years in sports or entertainment industry focused on content creation
- 2+ years managing staff
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to leadership
- Experience managing teams, workflows, and content strategy
- Passion and experience in storytelling for engagement
- Sports and/or entertainment experience
- Ability to own projects and communicate with external partners
- Experience with digital, short-form video, social, influencer content
- Strong project and people management skills
- Experience with content creation pipelines
- Ability to generate new ideas and concepts
- Creativity in execution
- Ability to work in a high energy, results-oriented environment
- Strong administrative, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, efficient, and precise
