Director, Data Strategy & Insight — Gainbridge

The role is a strategic data leadership position responsible for translating business strategy into data, analytics, and AI initiatives that influence decision-making and outcomes in a direct-to-consumer financial services company.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Translate Gainbridge's strategy into a prioritized set of problems to solve with data, analytics, and AI.
• Turn data and models into narratives that influence decisions.
• Drive insight into workflows and decision points, ensuring adoption and trust.
• Shape and govern AI applications and capabilities.
• Co-own use cases with data and engineering teams, framing problems and owning outcomes.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of a direct-to-consumer financial services business, including growth model and customer funnel.
• Approximately a decade of experience leading data or insight work with measurable business impact.
• Analytical fluency to interrogate data and models critically.
• Strong communication and influence skills, with ability to hold a point of view.
• Conversant in AI and agentic capabilities, understanding where they are applicable.
• Partnership instinct to share accountability and frame problems.
• Judgment to prioritize structural opportunities over quick wins.
