Emergency Response Roster - Finance Officer

The Finance Officer role is part of an emergency response roster for a humanitarian organization focused on helping vulnerable children worldwide. It involves executing accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial operations in emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify financial source documents and payment packages.
• Ensure transactions comply with local legislation, organizational policies, and donor regulations.
• Maintain financial records and perform reconciliations.
• Assist in audit preparations and support.
• Prepare and submit local financial reports, including tax and social security filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, cash flow management, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in financial and procurement software, especially WVI Accounts Payables processes.
• Willingness to deploy on short notice to emergency settings.
