Finance System Analyst

The Finance System Analyst at Salas O’Brien is responsible for overseeing and supporting finance accounting and operational systems, especially during mergers, with a focus on Deltek Vantagepoint. The role involves system migration, training, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 USD per year

Responsibilities

• Identify business requirements of new merger organizations and coordinate data migration with IT and consultants.
• Provide training on Deltek Vantagepoint system to new merger team members during data migration and at Go-Live.
• Update and maintain training materials and processes for Vantagepoint transactions and functionalities.
• Attend weekly migration meetings with consultants and system conversion team.
• Manage weekly data migration action items with consultants and new merger team.
• Confirm readiness of functional teams for Go-Live with new systems.
• Support the new team during at least two cycles of the month-end close process.
• Troubleshoot finance processes and system issues with IT and consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• 5-7 years of financial accounting and ERP system experience.
• Experience with Deltek Vision or VantagePoint accounting software.
• Experience in Vision or Vantagepoint migrations is preferred.
• Job Cost Accounting experience.
• Project billing or accounting experience within engineering industry is preferred.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
