Parexel is recruiting for an experienced Global Patient and Site Engagement – Clinical Trial Liaison professional to join one of their sponsors in Spain. The role involves site engagement, scientific expertise, and supporting clinical trials in oncology.
Location: Spain
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and healthcare providers in Oncology.
- Lead site and patient engagement initiatives to improve operational performance and patient experience.
- Work with stakeholders to create and meet clinical objectives, including site engagement and recruitment.
- Maintain deep knowledge of therapy area, sponsor's products, research trends, and competitive landscape.
- Establish reputation as a scientific and medical information source.
- Support development of sponsor positioning in Oncology.
- Understand local and national clinical protocols and standards.
- Provide clinical presentations and respond to questions in healthcare settings.
- Communicate emerging data and clinical experience.
- Support activities like medical congresses, advisory boards, and sales training.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with site engagement.
- Lead cross-functional site and patient activities.
- Identify and communicate clinical and research issues from sites and healthcare providers.
- Participate in clinical study education and support site activities.
- Develop site and patient study materials.
- Share best practices across teams.
- Enhance sponsor’s image through scientific exchange.
- Report adverse events and product complaints.
- Adhere to codes of practice and behave ethically.
- Act as an ambassador for the sponsor.
- Prepare timely reports.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with at least 3 years of oncology experience, or License (RN, NP, CNP, PA) with a Master’s Degree and at least 5 years of oncology experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar role.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Willing to travel approximately 60%.
- Experience in solid tumors/targeted therapies preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reside near a major airport.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strategic mindset, self-motivated, autonomous work ability.
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, results-focused.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
- Proficiency with digital platforms and tools.
- Excellent spoken English.
- Knowledge of geography, healthcare environment, and external experts.
- Ability to develop trust with opinion leaders.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for field personnel.
