As a Brooks Guru, you will lead Brooks' field support strategy in all distribution channels within your territory to increase market share, sell-through, and build brand recognition and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the overall field support efforts for Brooks at both Specialty and Big Box accounts within the territory
  • Support the Sales and Marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising, and grassroots programs
  • Collaborate on National Account sell-through programs and in-store promotions, with accountability for sales goals
  • Educate and motivate retail associates, runners, and affiliates about Brooks technology and products
  • Represent Brooks at national and local running events and expos, including setup, breakdown, and consumer interaction
  • Complete weekly field notes with visit, clinic, and event information, and provide product and competitor feedback
  • Feature in product videos for YouTube, Myagi, educational platforms, and social media as needed
  • Manage a yearly product seeding and corporate card budget, and complete expense reports monthly
  • Maintain leased company vehicle and Brooks equipment

Requirements

  • Willing to live within 30 miles of the territory
  • BA or BS degree in Marketing/Sales/Retail Management or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years Marketing/Sales/Retail experience, 2+ preferred
  • Outdoor, Sports or Athletic industry experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, sport bras, apparel, and related technologies
  • Knowledge of biomechanics and injury prevention basics highly preferred
  • Basic retail math, inventory management, product merchandising, and retail selling skills
  • Highly motivated with a hardworking attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills including managing a calendar, contacts, and a budget
  • Works well independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand running sport and develop authentic relationships with runners and the Brooks community
  • Ability to strategically use an annual budget for the territory and brand
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Extensive travel required, including weekends and extended hours

Additional Information

  • The pay range for this position, based out of Washington, DC, is $48,775 - $68,285. Base pay varies depending on experience and knowledge. There is also a commission potential.
