Insurance Discovery Business Analyst

R1’s Insurance Discovery team is seeking a Business Analyst to support the rapidly growing Insurance Discovery line of business. This role partners with internal stakeholders and clients to drive innovation and process improvement, identify and implement strategic initiatives, and enhance efficiency and productivity.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $48,131.00 - $81,225.49 per year

Responsibilities

• Generate and deliver comprehensive data analysis reports to internal stakeholders and client leadership.
• Serve as the primary technical intermediary between clients and internal development/configuration teams.
• Synthesize complex client requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Create and maintain internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical guides, and user manuals.
• Develop, execute, and maintain scripts to audit client data files.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and account management.
• Provide technical support for legacy systems, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate across departments to drive operational excellence.

Requirements

• Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred, including exposure to hospital and/or professional billing.
• 2+ years of SQL development experience; Spark SQL/Databricks experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical support or client-facing technical role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Health System Revenue Cycle domain expertise preferred.
