Marketing Manager for Trade and Children's Books

The Marketing Manager, Books is a strategic and hands-on marketing leader responsible for maximizing the revenue potential of every title on the Books list. This role owns the go-to-market strategy for the Books portfolio — developing audience-driven positioning, identifying channels, and executing campaigns.
Location: Pennsylvania, USA (requires travel to headquarters)
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for each Books title, including audience targeting, positioning, messaging, pricing, and channel prioritization.
- Build understanding of target audiences and how to reach them.
- Identify and evaluate marketing channels and tactics.
- Partner with Editorial and Product Development for marketing input.
- Analyze market trends and competitor positioning.
- Translate positioning into integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, paid advertising, organic content, and retail channels.
- Write and contribute to marketing copy and creative direction.
- Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on Meta and Amazon.
- Oversee campaign schedules and creative assets.
- Lead product launches and coordinate with internal teams and authors.
- Own Amazon marketing strategy, including listing optimization, advertising, and promotions.
- Identify additional distribution opportunities and coordinate with Operations.
- Define success metrics, analyze performance, and optimize strategies.
- Gather and interpret data from various sources.
- Design and analyze customer surveys.
- Report results and insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage marketing budget.
- Serve as primary marketing contact for authors, develop marketing assets with them.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of marketing experience with proven revenue results.
- Ability to develop and execute audience, positioning, and channel strategies.
- Experience managing paid media campaigns on Amazon and Meta.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Google Analytics and Amazon Seller/Vendor Central.
- Experience managing creative teams or contractors.
- Deep understanding of the Catholic faith and teaching.
- Familiarity with the Catholic market and faith-based audiences preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Willingness to travel to Pennsylvania headquarters several times per year.
