Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers

Location: Amsterdam, hybrid or remote
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement cost-effective and reliant mechanical designs and distribution systems
- Work with internal business partners like Technical Project Management, Data Center IT, IT Procurement, Network Engineering, and external vendors to validate and test installation & operation performance of data center mechanical systems
- Create designs which meet and exceed Nebius’s quality benchmarks within budget
- Seek new designs and technologies within Nebius AI’s data center planning and infrastructure
- Identify and document electrical equipment and components required during build/installation
- Oversee work of external vendors and contractors across multiple projects and locations
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in building services engineering or mechanical engineering, or 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil/gas facilities
- 7+ years of experience in creating mechanical design documentation for construction
- 7+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical design
- In-depth knowledge of data centre design, BMS & HVAC design and related product development
- In-depth knowledge of data centre mechanical systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs/CRAC, fans, air economizers, water treatment
