Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in the management of high-risk newborns and complex neonatal cases
• Perform and support commonly required neonatal procedures
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff
• Engage in specialist neonatal and perinatal clinics
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical governance activities
• Support research, education, and continuous learning within the department

Requirements

• Primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
• Eligibility for or current registration with the relevant Australian medical regulatory authority
• Completion of written and clinical fellowship examinations (or equivalent international qualification)
• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a tertiary-level neonatal intensive care setting
• Demonstrated competency in neonatal procedures and acute care management
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, research, and clinical excellence
