Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will serve as the lead for all payroll functions, managing payroll processing, compliance, reporting, and employee inquiries.
Location: Bahamas
Responsibilities
- Input and validate payroll on an accurate and timely basis, based on company policy and guidelines.
- Maintains payroll information by designing systems; and collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect current employee data, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time.
- Prepare and maintain management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Prepare all payroll-related reports and determine payroll liabilities.
- Handle all Accounts Payable responsibilities related to compensation, benefit programs, incentives, rewards, etc.
- Follow corporate protocols for period/year-end.
- Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements.
- Administer Paid Time Off policies and timekeeping program.
- Roll-out and administer payroll compensation or incentive programs.
- Assist Sales department with Sales Consultants Compensation program.
- Identify process improvement areas.
- Assist employees and managers with payroll questions.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience in ISL Payroll Software
- 3-5 years’ payroll experience
- Knowledge of local employment law
