Product Design Lead

Responsibilities

• Shape the entire platform, creating a coherent vision that ensures a consistent experience across all products.
• Lead design as strategy, influencing how developers understand and interact with supply chain security.
• Partner with leadership to shape product development, prioritization, and communication.
• Design end-to-end experiences that make complex security concepts approachable.
• Work with engineering to develop interfaces that abstract complexity while maintaining security rigor.
• Establish and evolve Socket's design system for consistency and speed.
• Shape visual and interaction language for developers.
• Participate in customer conversations to understand usage and clarity issues.
• Help define the roadmap and prioritize impactful design opportunities.
• Contribute to hiring and building a world-class design team.

Requirements

• Shipped products at a high standard with a focus on systems-level clarity.
• Deep experience designing for developers or technical audiences.
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, design languages, component systems, and consistency.
• Comfort working directly with engineering and product leadership, able to make decisions quickly.
• Experience with security or infrastructure tools is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to craft, details, and functional design.
