Project Accountant - Remote

Michael Baker International is seeking a Project Accountant to support project management through financial analysis, project setup, monitoring, and reporting. The role involves collaboration with project teams to ensure financial accuracy and project performance.

Location: Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zone)

Salary: $62,000 - $72,000

Responsibilities

• Perform data analytics at a project level to monitor project performance and provide comments on financial status.
• Coordinate project setups with Project Managers, reviewing contract terms.
• Monitor and address project maintenance within Oracle and update budgets/funding.
• Prepare monthly reports with project status and financial comments.
• Participate in project performance reviews and provide financial insights.
• Support Project Managers with financial information for proposals, estimates, budgets, audits, and special projects.
• Monitor receivables and support collections.
• Identify invoicing issues and develop corrective actions.
• Ensure project revenue recognition aligns with company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.
• 0-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or similar roles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred experience with Oracle Project Accounting Modules or similar ERP system.
