Regulatory & Product Counsel

Lucid Software is seeking a Regulatory & Product Counsel to advise on privacy and compliance requirements across the business, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing legal compliance in a SaaS environment.
Location: Remote, US
Responsibilities
- Manage, develop and improve Lucid’s compliance programs.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with laws, regulations, and business changes.
- Serve as subject matter expert on global laws and regulations relevant to SaaS, especially data privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA, as well as AI compliance, marketing, and sales outreach.
- Conduct risk-based privacy compliance assessments, create controls, and maintain compliance resources and policies.
- Advise teams on compliance requirements related to product development, vendors, and operations.
- Promote privacy best practices and the principle of least privilege.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Develop expertise in products and technology stack.
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to a State Bar and active license.
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in global regulatory regimes for SaaS, with emphasis on data privacy laws.
- Experience advising cross-functional teams and operationalizing compliance.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate risks effectively.
- Experience working with product and technology teams.
- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and act in ambiguous situations.
- Proactive, responsive, and service-driven attitude.
