Retirement Counselor

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $60,000–$80,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Interacting with retirement plan participants through multiple channels needing assistance with retirement plan rollovers and supporting investment advisory services.
• Explaining investment services available to participants and providing financial education on retirement plan topics.
• Interviewing individuals to gather information, review planning suggestions, and deliver solutions.
• Making outbound calls to customers interested in creating accounts or programs.
• Explaining employer-based retirement plan requirements and IRS regulations related to 401(k) transactions.
• Collaborating with Benefits Center Customer Care teams to enhance customer experience and provide education on IRA accounts, Advisory products, and best practices.
• Engaging with customers to handle account inquiries, update information, assist with trading activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide product literature.
• Participating in setting up and maintaining customer accounts, recording transactions accurately.

Requirements

• Have FINRA Series 7 and 65/66 or able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Have an undergraduate degree and minimum of 5 years financial industry experience.
• Experience in delivering retirement planning and investment advisory services.
• Ability to educate callers on complex retirement and investment concepts, with strong rapport building and interpersonal skills.
• Active listening skills to understand articulated and unarticulated client needs.
• Ability to ask relevant probing questions and use data to persuade and guide customers.
• Utilize conceptual thinking to identify patterns and clarify complex information.
