Senior Accountant (Remote in US)

The Senior Accountant at Digital Green is responsible for managing the organization's financial records and reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP, supporting global financial reporting, and ensuring internal controls. The role involves full-cycle accounts payable, payroll, month-end close, and collaboration with global teams.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $80K - 105K USD

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of U.S. cash disbursements and receipts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee employee cash advances and expense reimbursements, verifying compliance with policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Execute monthly credit card reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Manage semi-monthly U.S. payroll, including deductions, benefits, and compliance with state taxes.
• Oversee U.S. timesheet management and project cost allocation.
• Ensure timely U.S. month-end close, prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
• Support the Global Controller in preparing financial statements and inter-entity accounts.
• Compile documentation for internal reviews and external audits.
• Maintain internal control policies and assist in budgeting processes.
• Support finance system administration and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including 2 years in month-end close and payroll.
• Proficiency in SAGE Intacct and Google Sheets; experience with Insperity or similar payroll applications.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
