Senior Insurance Product Analyst I (Remote - US)

Openly is rebuilding insurance from the ground up, focusing on enhancing customer experience through innovative technology, data science, and personalized insurance products. They seek a team of curious, empathetic, and skilled individuals across various disciplines.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $82,800—$98,325 USD (budgeted), $77,625—$129,375 USD (full range)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tooling for verifying insurance product calculations and behavior.
• Help roll out and document standardized testing, peer review, and governance workflows.
• Consult on the design of test data, ensuring key scenarios and edge cases are covered.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on complex rating systems, platform differences, and policy data.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in insurance (P&C and personal lines experience is a plus) and software development, quality assurance, technical product management, or insurance rating engine development.
• Experience in Python, SQL, R, or other programming languages.
• A degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to operate in ambiguity.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to translate concepts between technical and business language.
