Senior iOS Engineer

Zego is on a mission to change traditional motor insurance by offering affordable, driver-friendly policies through innovative technology. They serve a diverse customer base including van drivers, gig workers, and everyday drivers, and have sold millions of policies with significant funding.

Responsibilities

• Taking a pivotal role in crafting and enhancing the core application experience on the iOS platform.
• Refining existing apps to ensure a premier user experience.
• Set technical direction and drive engineering best practices across multiple teams or a business unit.
• Leading by example in upholding code styles and standards, fostering best practices within the engineering team.
• Collaborating with Product Managers and various teams to launch new products and features.
• Facilitating knowledge sharing through code reviews, design docs, tech talks, etc.

Requirements

• 8+ years of iOS development experience.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns and best practices.
• Experience in building SDKs that are scalable, user-friendly, and performant for third-party developers.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Experience in telematics is a plus.
• Familiarity with the insurance or finance industries is appreciated.
• Curiosity about how AI can enhance work, with a willingness to experiment and learn.
