The Senior Manager, Animal Relocation – Operations and Fleet oversees vehicle fleet management, maintenance, and logistics for animal relocation operations at ASPCA, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: Zone 1: $76,000 - $80,000 annually; Zone 2: $84,000 - $89,000 annually; Zone 3: $92,000 - $97,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Oversee fleet management to ensure compliance and safety, support vehicle maintenance, and implement preventative measures.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices and technology.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, and build a database of trusted vendors.
- Work with Fleet Manager and Logistics team to ensure licenses, registrations, and equipment are maintained.
- Lead procurement, tracking, and maintenance of assets and supplies, including technology updates.
- Ensure fleet safety systems are functional and monitored.
- Manage inventory across 23+ vehicles and 11 facilities.
- Support animal relocation processes and resolve logistical challenges.
- Serve as main contact for vehicle monitoring and updates.
- Develop and implement SOPs, training, and standards for the team.
- Review incident reports, grant management, and vendor reports.
- Support committees and groups to advance animal welfare work.
Requirements
- Experience with inventory systems, asset management, and fleet management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Attention to detail and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes and learn new technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Airtable, or similar database programs.
- Fear Free® certification or within 60 days of employment.

Additional Information
- Remote position within the US, with travel up to 30% annually.
- Work schedule includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires driving ability, lifting up to 50 pounds, and valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel and pass DOT medical and driver qualification requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 6+ years of experience, including fleet management and staff supervision.
- Experience in animal welfare or animal relocation preferred.
