ServiceTitan is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-impact teams, operate effectively in ambiguity, and guide the design and delivery of scalable, cross-cutting systems. The role is ideal for a senior leader with strong people leadership and deep technical judgment, in a fast-growing startup environment.

Salary: $204,000–$327,500 USD/yr (US, depending on location)

Responsibilities

  • Establish clear, outcome-driven professional development plans for engineers and managers.
  • Provide ongoing coaching through 1:1s, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Build a team culture grounded in ownership, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Guide teams in designing, evolving, and operating scalable, reliable systems.
  • Review designs and help navigate complex technical trade-offs.
  • Ensure high standards of engineering quality, including system reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
  • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical health.
  • Own delivery outcomes across discovery, design, implementation, and production.
  • Build and refine technical and execution roadmaps.
  • Break down complex initiatives into actionable plans.
  • Identify risks early and unblock teams.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Data, and other Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Communicate with senior leaders about progress, risks, and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years managing software engineering teams, including senior engineers and/or managers.
  • Strong technical background with experience in complex, distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity and make sound technical decisions.
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Track record of delivering high-impact, business-critical initiatives.

Additional Information
