Senior Network Inventory GIS Engineer

Lumen is seeking a Senior Network Inventory GIS Engineer to manage network GIS inventory projects, develop features, and create geospatial data. The role involves supporting the GIS planning platform, translating network data into map-based visualizations, and creating data pipelines. The ideal candidate has a background in Geography or Computer Science, with 4+ years of GIS experience and strong GIS knowledge.

Salary: $84,629 – $112,838

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large network GIS inventory projects
• Develop network inventory features
• Create geospatial data
• Support the construction and evolution of Lumen's GIS planning platform
• Translate network data into front-end map-based visualization
• Create new data pipelines for GIS data structures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in GIS engineering, analysis, or network inventory
• Basic Alteryx experience
• Strong understanding of GIS concepts, technologies, and tools
• Experience with GIS analysis, including spatial analysis, network analysis, and data visualization
• Experience with OSP network inventory systems (3GIS, GE Smallworld, OSPI)
• Experience with CAD software
• Advanced MS Office skills
