Responsibilities

Build and ship features across Rails backend and Typescript+React frontend
Bring solid engineering principles into multiple legacy codebases
Own work end-to-end from design to deployment
Collaborate with product and design to refine requirements and deliver solutions
Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback
Identify and address technical debt, bugs, and performance issues
Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions

Requirements

Strong experience in Typescript+React, Ruby+Rails, and PostgreSQL
Experience with modern testing philosophies and improving test suites
Experience automating workflows with tools like Playwright, Slack bots, etc.
Shipped meaningful features or systems with ownership
Strong technical fundamentals, clean code, edge case consideration
Experience with modern tooling and libraries, system simplification, and tooling for coding practices
Experience with component and e2e visual browser tests
Comfortable working across the stack
Strong communication skills
Self-directed and proactive
Experience in startup or high-growth environment (preferred)
Comfortable using AI coding tools without relying on them
