Senior Technical Program Manager

The Senior Technical Program Manager at Instacart will leverage technical expertise and leadership skills to drive programs that enhance products, applications, platforms, and customer experiences, focusing on the enterprise platform and retailer needs.

Salary: $178,000–$188,000 USD

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and high quality technical execution of large sized engineering programs with high degree of ambiguity, complexity, and visibility.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to set project objectives and success criteria, define requirements, and manage program progress.
• Own communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and changes.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and shared goals, ensuring efficiency and high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives and uphold operational excellence in retailer launches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in a technology field, such as technical program or project management, product management, or software engineering.
• Ability to create functional specs, set program structure, and influence strategy for complex multi-org programs.
• Strong communication skills to convey priorities, risks, and build stakeholder narratives.
• Ownership mindset, technical curiosity, and ability to identify and prevent issues.
