Senior Technical Training Specialist

The Senior Technical Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training and enablement programs focused on Salesforce CRM, Power BI, and related systems for the Government Accounts team. The role involves creating scalable learning structures, training strategies, and documentation to improve tool adoption, data quality, and operational effectiveness.

Salary: $86,560 – $108,200/yr

Responsibilities

• Support the identification of learning needs by analyzing performance and competence data to identify gaps in relation to required levels; recommend priorities for learning and development (L&D) interventions.
• Design and develop content for training courses to fill gaps in established programs, and run complex or customized training courses to improve employee performance.
• Identify product training needs and develop, design, and evaluate content for programs for specific areas to fill gaps in established programs; run complex and/or customized product training courses to improve employee performance within specific functional area.
• Deliver training sessions or programs, engaging, advising, and guiding learners and evaluating the achievement of intended learning outcomes.
• Design and develop training courses or strands of a learning and development (L&D) program; incorporate specified L&D methodologies and delivery channels; develop relevant content and high-quality learning resources to ensure high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
• Help senior colleagues manage internal client and customer relationships by using relevant client systems.
• Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
• Help to prepare training for digital areas within existing programs. Deliver targeted, standardized training for digital areas using prepared content and working under the supervision of senior colleagues.
• Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
• Create and maintain documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
• Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR a combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to four (4) years.
• Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in professional training, or related roles; of which the total years of experience include:
• Experience working in a business environment
• Experience using, supporting, or training users on Salesforce CRM, Power BI, reporting tools, data systems, CRM systems, or similar business technology tools
• Experience developing or delivering training, documentation, work instructions, job aids, or user support materials
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts, business processes, and data practices to non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills
• Experience serving internal or external customers

Additional Information

• This is a remote position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures.
• Must be able to meet travel requirements for this position, which is approximately four (4) times per year including occasional travel to Staples, MN for meetings, professional development or team activities. Notice will be given ahead of time.
