Staff AI Platform Engineer, Corporate AI Systems

Cribl is seeking a Staff AI Platform Engineer to build and operate a secure, scalable AI platform that enables AI across internal systems and workflows. The role involves designing shared infrastructure, security, and reusable patterns to turn AI experimentation into a company-wide capability.

Location: Remote

Salary: $169,000 - $250,000

Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture for Cribl’s internal AI platform, including LLM deployments, MCP gateway design, orchestration patterns, and shared services.
• Establish identity and access models for AI systems, including credentials, audit logging, and token governance.
• Build safe, reusable sandbox environments and self-service patterns for AI experimentation within a governed framework.
• Design integrations between AI tooling and enterprise systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Drive, and Glean.
• Collaborate with AI Security team to ensure secrets management, MCP governance, prompt-injection defenses, telemetry, and compliance controls are built into the platform.
• Develop platform capabilities for AI-accelerated development, including infrastructure, DevOps pipeline integration, and secure workflows.
• Define and track metrics for platform availability, reliability, usage, adoption, guardrail effectiveness, cost efficiency, and business impact.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with a track record of building shared capabilities.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern LLM and enterprise AI platforms, API-driven model integration, retrieval patterns, and safe AI deployment.
• Proven experience with OAuth, service identities, RBAC/ABAC, auditability, secrets management, and secure architecture.
• Experience designing and operating integrations across enterprise systems, APIs, workflow platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to balance speed, reliability, usability, and governance in platform building.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience creating operating models, runbooks, patterns, and platforms from scratch.
• Focus on measurable business impact and enabling useful, governed AI capabilities.
